JOURNAL

The first full moon of the year (and of this decade) approaches in just a few short days!

Each month, nature gives us the gift of the Full Moon…a sacred time for releasing what is no longer serving us, and of letting go of what we have been clinging on to.

It’s a time for moving on, for forgiveness, and for healing.

As many of us know well by now, the full moon is also a time of heightened emotion – especially for the most sensitive among us!

I used to dread the full moon, because I live in a house of highly sensitive empaths, and when the majority of us were out of touch with our emotions, it wouldn’t be pleasant to be at home.

My brothers and I would fight, my father and my brothers would fight, my mom and I would even get snappy with each other!

Thankfully, over the years, we’ve come to understand the cycles of the moon much better – and one another.

I know that when the full moon comes around, it is imperative that I practice patience.

I think before I speak, and I become much more thoughtful and aware around this time because of that.

If you haven’t been tapping into Grandmother Moon’s incredible power to bring our darkness to the light, to bring out our shadows to play, it’s definitely time to get on board!

You can start super simply – get out your journal and a pen, and write a stream-of-consciousness journal entry about how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking about, and what’s currently going on in your life.

Maybe set aside a small journal that you only write in around the full moon, to make it more intentional and ceremonial.

It’s also interesting to go back and read old entries and see what your state of mind was like on past full moons.

Be open to your mind and allow yourself to write down whatever comes up for you. Simply writing is a form of releasing and healing, and is a great ceremony on its own.

I have various rituals that I perform on the full moon, but I do save that time of month for working with my shadows.

I really like to take advantage of the fact that my shadows are closer to the surface during this cosmic phase, and I go deep and perform shadow work with my own Lightwork Ceremony.

Shadow work – accessing our subconscious mind and healing aspects of ourselves that are “off,” “broken,” or “shattered” - on the full moon is extremely powerful.

Talking to your inner child and seeing how you could heal them is even more effective when our shadows are so close to the surface.

Be good to yourself around the full moon.

Be kind to yourself. Honoring the moon, the sun, the seasons, and nature in itself will bring out a new aspect of yourself…one that is connected to all things, understands our true nature better, and can heal, grow, and improve more easily.

Full Moon - Simple Ritual:

- Dedicate a journal to your full moon writings

- Light a candle to honor Grandmother moon

- Allow yourself to write about whatever is on your mind, whatever you may be thinking and feeling...stream-of-consciousness journaling is an excellent way to release and even heal. There's nothing you need to do except allow yourself to be expressive!

My full moon ritual: The Lightwork Ceremony

For a simple release, consider trying my 45-minute breathwork journey, Breathe.

Simply lay back and allow me to guide you in releasing trapped energy, resistant emotions, trauma, and more. Great for letting go of things that have happened that you keep playing in your mind, and releasing painful past memories. Access that here.

For about two days now, the Goddess Venus has been making herself known to me...reaching out to me in a sense...

Let me explain.

I believe in God. No, forget believe!

I KNOW God.

I do not, however, subscribe to the notion that God is a white man in the clouds, looking down on us and judging.

That was never my belief or view - and while I know it's the way a lot of people experience Godliness, it's just not something I resonate with.

Through experiencing slivers of samadhi and something akin to a near-death experience, I have found that God is pure, unconditional love, that exists within us, outside of us, and in every corner of the universe.

My personal view on God is that there is One Universal Mind, a Source, the Primordial Father AND Mother, an All That Is that created everything. The alpha and omega.

I believe that this Source is expressed through all the realms we often talk about, through all different types of beings and entities, and through each one of us.

ONE such expression of God can be found in our myths - with concepts such as the archetypes and the Roman and Greek Gods.

These nonphysical energies are simply aspects of God and aspects of humanity and the collective unconscious. They come to us as teachers, guides, and healers. They are here to help us in the Earth School. When a deity such as the Roman Goddess Venus comes to us, they are offering to help us to embody characteristics that they represent.

They might be assisting us in bringing about healing in some aspect of our life, pointing out to you what the future will hold, providing you with the resources to get what you desire, or simply aligning to the frequency you've been putting out.

You might be asking, just how did Venus come to you?

She first came to me in a dream two nights ago. In the dream, my brother was talking to me about her, almost introducing me to her.

She then guided me (still in the dream) to find a book about her ... showing me that she wants me to study her.

The next day, the word "Venus" came up in regular conversation TWICE, brought up by the person I was speaking with and not by me.

That same night, I visited the Griffith Observatory. I walked past a room where the Tesla Coil was being admired, into a room with a giant pendulum.

The pendulum was magnificent, but what really caught my eye was on the ceiling - Venus, laying in her feminine glory, interacting with the Four Seasons.

This was the Griffith Observatory's Ballin Ceiling Mural, created in 1934 - something I had never seen before, but which took my breath away.

We already know not to believe in coincidences.

These, to me, are very obvious communications from an intelligent being.  Lately, I have been immersing myself with the concept of prosperity and abundance - hint hint, new course :D.

So of course, when I sat down to figure out what to do about this new communication, I was ecstatic to find out that Venus is the goddess of love, beauty, sexuality, abundance, fertility, and finances.

I was focusing and tapping into a certain energy, and the Goddess found me.

She is also the Goddess of sexual healing, something I consistently work on within myself, so to me this was a sign that I'm in the right direction - my healing is still ongoing and underway.

How do you work with a deity when they come to you?

If you have a meditation altar where you sit to journal and meditate (I have a little box in my room that holds my sage, palo santo, Florida water, essential oils, mala and crystals. In front of it is my meditation pillow. It's my mini altar!) , adding "gifts" or "offerings" to the nonphysical energy that you want to work with is really powerful.

For example, Venus loves roses, pearls, milk, and honey. To honor her, I will get some roses to put on my altar and borrow an old pearl necklace from my mom to place on the altar.

Studying the symbols of the deity and sitting in meditation with those things on our mind is an easy and effective method of connecting with them.

Throughout your day, you will feel subtle guidance from this energy, assisting you in making wise decisions based on whatever aspect of the world they rule, and you will feel protected from the Divine.

At night, this same energy will work its magic on you, performing healing as you sleep.

Author of Seat of the Soul, Gary Zukav encourages us to evolve through responsible choice of and with the assistance and guidance of non-physical guides and teachers.

Without this guidance, we are purely physical beings, destined to only learn through physical, and often painful, challenges.

Working with these teachers makes the Earth School much more enjoyable.

I will update you on my work with Venus...for now, tell me, have you worked with a non-physical teacher before?

Moving into the new year intentionally will make for a more meaningful, wholesome, well-rounded and balanced year.

IT'S THE NEW YEAR!

To get us all on the right foot in this exciting time of new beginnings, I had to come up with a new year ritual to do on the first day/first week of the year...

In this email you will find the ritual AND some self-exploration questions :)

And new habits and ways to improve our lives in the new year can be found in the new video I just posted: 8 Ways to Improve in 2020

Powerful First of the Year Ritual (do this at any time, really!):

- Declutter your space. Clear out clutter, let go of some old things you've been holding on to that you no longer need, both materially and emotionally.

I cleaned out my closet and donated 5 bags full of clothes that no longer fit, that I don't like, or that belonged to someone who is no longer in my life (an old boyfriend or old friend). Empty and make energy for NEW.

I even found an old picture of me and ex that I no longer needed to hold onto. I got rid of it and felt more lightness in my life!

- CLEANSE the space. Now, use intention/sage/palo santo/incense/copal or whatever you have as stated, intention is enough!) to cleanse old energy in your home and within you.

"I ask the Universe and my team of light to assist me in releasing anything that is no longer serving me. Please cleanse and let go of any negative energy, entity, thought forms, patterns, and beliefs - send them to the light, back to Source, to be renewed. Thank you. And so it is."

- Light a candle, anoint yourself with essential oils, light some incense, and journal.

Of course, only journaling is good, too!

Consider the following questions when you journal:

1. What is my current story about myself? 2. What am I constantly repeating and telling people? 3. Is it serving me? 4. What does my self-talk sound like? Is it bringing me up or tearing me down? 5. How will I take better care of myself in the next year? 6. What habits do I want to create? 7. What habits do I want to break and rewire? 8. What will I stop doing this year? 9. What will I continue to do? 10. What new things will I do? 11. What are things I want to learn this year? Lessons and hobbies, skills, etc...anything that comes up! 12. What is one small thing I can this year that will improve my life?

Making a gratitude list instead of this or WITH this is super powerful, too, for our renewal ritual.

- Close the chapter. Once you are done journaling, flip the page. The rest of the year will be ruled by what you just worked on. Blow out your candle, put out the incense.

- An intention/prayer. Perhaps while holding one of your favorite cleansed crystals or your Amulet, set an intention for the year. Mine is simply this: I intend to be happy and healthy, following my bliss and my passion and doing what makes me feel alive.

Thank your guides and angels, your higher self, God, the Universe - whoever you feel most called to speak to, and go on about your day. Refrain from negative self-talk, from gossip, from anything that does not uplift you.

Eat well. Care for yourself. You may have drank last night - it's natural to feel a little deflated after doing so. The rest of the year is going to be INCREDIBLE.

I so hope you enjoyed this - if you did, please let me know with a "thumbs up" on the new video, a comment, or a comment on Instagram!

Sending you SO MUCH LOVE!
